1st Bear.. Grr..

Rodolfo finally shot his first black bear! After 2 months of hunting he finally got one. The bear measured right at 6 foot (which is pretty big for an interior black bear). Rodolfo and his friend both shot a bear the same night which made for lots of work. In the picture- Rodolfo's is the larger one. We have tons of meat-which definitely has a distinct taste.

80s Night & Fishin

We attended an 80's party and Courtney was definitely the BEST dressed! The party was a blast. We also went on a Halibut charter and limited out on Halibut and caught lots of Cod. It was lots of fun and a great way to kick off summer!

Japan

Rodolfo is back from Japan -- He loved it and would love to go back someday!! The food was delicious, the colors of the island were amazing, and his class was a blast. They learned how to rescue people from all kinds of scenarios from falling off a cliff to being stranded on top of a mountain to using the jaws of life. At graduation, Rodolfo earned top honors as a distinguished grad and was given a commanders coin and certificate.
The shot you see him taking is from a jar like the picture below it.. It is an alcoholic drink made with a Habu snake's venom (#5 deadliest snake in the world). They bottle the drink with the snake in it.
The restaurant you see was Rodolfo's favorite. They had the master sushi chefs making sushi and then they would send it around on a sort of conveyor belt. You could then choose which plate you wanted. They plate of food is a kind of fish that is only found in Okinawa but Rodolfo could not remember what it was called. :)

World Ice Art Championships

I got a new camera today and I LOVE IT!!! I would have to say that I dont have the slightest clue how to work it! :) Way too many settings and buttons! Thats what the manual is for, right?
I went to the World Ice Art Championships today and the ice sculptures were incredible and HUGE!
Rodolfo is loving Japan and having a good time. He is one of the top performers in his class, as usual! :) Many of his nights are spent tutoring the other students. I will include some pictures of Japan in a few days when I get more from Rodolfo.
ENJOY!
